I want to learn what it takes to create separate illustrations that can be combined as a big poster.

I finished the final painting, which ended up using only 6 characters. The rest either do not match the rough
perspective of the combined image or do not suit the combined image.
Key learning points:
- Drawing separate illustrations to combine into one large poster needs planning.
- Without planning, it is easier to draw one large poster and then separate the characters.
I did finish after extending the deadline. Character count decreased from 9 to 6. Still, I am happy with the
final painting :)
Update on 10 Jan 2026:
I retouched the 2021 painting to sell as a print. I improved the composition be adding background graphic elements (the blue and red halftone lines), a title text, and framing black areas. Subtler changes include redder skin color, additional rim lights, softer edges, and additional shading. The result is "Final Painting" at the top of this page.
