I want to learn what it takes to create separate illustrations that can be combined as a big poster.

I finished the final painting, which ended up using only 6 characters. The rest either do not match the rough
perspective of the combined image or do not suit the combined image.
Key learning points:
- Drawing separate illustrations to combine into one large poster needs planning.
- Without planning, it is easier to draw one large poster and then separate the characters.
I did finish after extending the deadline. Character count decreased from 9 to 6. Still, I am happy with the
final painting :)
Update on 10 Jan 2026:
I retouched the 2021 painting to sell as a print. I improved the composition be adding background graphic elements (the blue and red halftone lines), a title text, and framing black areas. Subtler changes include redder skin color, additional rim lights, softer edges, and additional shading.
