Goals
- Marvel has been building up for a moment since "The Avengers" in 2012. I have been looking forward to that moment and it is coming in May 2018. This is a rare opportunity for me as a fan to express my feelings.
- I want to prove to myself that I can finish a big spread with many characters within an acceptable time frame.
- I want to find out if I can find audience for the drawing style I am using.

Oh noes, Marvel Studios moved the release date one week earlier to 27 April! I have mixed feelings about this, obviously. On one hand we will get to see "Avengers: Infinity War" earlier; on the other hand, I have one less week to finish this drawing :9
Final Image
I finished this on 15 May 2018, 3 weeks later than intended deadline. Character count increased from 16 to 21. I am rather pleased with how this project turned out.

At this point, the trailer made me realize that characters from Guardians of the Galaxy would play important roles to the story. (After all, Gamora and Nebula were Thanos' daughters, not to mention so many characters wanted to kill Thanos.) I decided to include all 7 characters.

Penciling was done and inking started. I worked from right to left because I am left handed.

By this time I realized I would not be able to finish on time, but I was still hopeful I could finish by the previous release date, 4 May.

I made use of the Labor Day holiday to ink as much as I could. Still, I realized that I would be late even for the 4 May deadline.

My wife and I watched "Infinity War" on 5 May, so I was a little down after that ending. I found inking Gamora especially poignant. I drew her so full of gusto, such a contrast with her story in the film.
